New Exciting Audio Products

We are very excited to now be an Authorized Dealer for Mu Voice,
Drumagog, Drumcore, and Plugiator.

Mu Voice Tuner, Harmonizer and Effects Plug-In for Studio Use and Live Performance.

Mac and Windows support for VST, RTAS and AU formats.

Winning plug-in by Mu Technologies that allows you to tune your vocal recordings, apply special effects and add natural sounding harmonies when mixing your track. The proprietary spectral analysis and synthesis techniques set new standards in vocal processing providing a unique tool for your recording studio. Tedious pitch curve editing is history now. An internal delay of only 5.8 ms makes Mu Voice the ideal vocal processor to perform live on stage.

Intelligent Harmonizing: An "intelligent" harmonizer takes into account the musical context of a piece like chord and scale information. This is exactly what Mu Voice does. A four track mixer allows to configure the voicing (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th voice) and octave for each channel.

Scale / Chord Selection: The chord panel offers a straight-forward interface to select chords. When a given key signature is selected, the diatonic series of chords is displayed. By clicking the chords and modifiers, a chord is selected for harmonization.

Chord Scheme Editing: Chords can be added to a scheme by pressing the "Insert" button or double clicking them. By clicking an item in the scheme one can navigate through a chord scheme.

Mixer: The mixer combines all four track and allows to mute certain channels with the [M]-button. The first channel can be put in bypass ([B]-button). A pitch shift slider adds an extra interval to the channel. The range of the shift slider is expressed in half tones can be quantized by pressing the [Q]-button.

Tuner: Mu Voice comes with a built-in tuner that has a parametric impact (0: no impact, 1: full impact). The tuner has two modes:
"Chromatic": tune to the closest half note
"Scale": tune to the closest note in the current scale

Channel FX: In addition to the voicing configurator, the gain control and pitch shifter, each track has additional set of FX:
Pan: To obtain a realistic spatial positioning, the panner uses interaural delays and an interaural gains that are based on psychoacoustic measurements. The panning parameter corresponds with the angle relative to the listeners nose.
Humanizing: When the pitches of the harmonies are coupled too tight, they might interfere and be perceived as a single distorted voice. The "humanization" parameter solves this problem by adding very slight random pitch variations and an additional delay.
Formants: The formants determine the "timbre" or "color" of the voice. When the pitch of the Voice is altered, the formants are maintained. One can disable the formant correction by pressing the green button next to the slider. The formant slider controls a linear scaling of the formants and alters the colour of the voice. By shifting the pitch up and scaling the formants, the voice of a women can be changed to the voice of a young girl.
Filters: Mu Voice offers a number of filter presets; high-pass, band-pass, comb-filters, notch filters ...
Harmonic EQ-ing: The proprietary spectral analysis technique on which Mu Voice is based, allow to control the amplitude of each harmonic in the sound. We named this effect harmonic EQ-ing. A number of presets are provided that illustrate this unique feature.

Preset Management: To keep the large number of control parameters manageable, all parameters that are not related to the chord scheme can be saved in presets. By selecting a preset, configuring the parameters and pressing the 'Save'-button, the preset is stored. When a preset is selected and the 'Apply'-button is pressed, the preset is loaded. Presets can also be added to the chord scheme by pressing the 'Insert'-button.

Full Automation: The progression of chords and presets can be fully automated in two steps
Write Mode: The plug-in is put in read-mode by pressing the [W]-button above the chord scheme. When you select a starting point and press the right arrow on your keyboard, you will move to the next position is the scheme while the timing of this event is recorded.
Read Mode: The plug-in is put in read-mode by pressing the [R]-button above the chord scheme. The plug-in will synchronize itself to the host time so that it becomes fully automated.

MIDI Controls (Since version 1.2.0 - free update for licensed customers) The MIDI enabled version gives you full control from a keyboard, making it an excellent tool to perform live. Use it from a real-time host like Ableton Live, Apple MainStage, ...
Key features:
A state-of-art chord recogntion system to control the scale and chord over time.
Preset Selection
Chord scheme navigation
Do not worry about the fact that your keyboard has only 48 keys, the plug-in can be configured for any keyboard.

Sample Rate Support Mu Voice supports the following sample rates:
44.1 kHz - 48 kHz - 88.2 kHz - 96 kHz - 176.4 kHz - 192 kHz

XML based file exchange: The plug-in state, chord scheme and presets can all be saved in XML. This makes the configuration of your plug-in readable, editable and portable over all platforms.

SIMD Optimizations: Mu Voice is highly optimized exploiting special processor instruction sets like SSE for Intel processors and Altivec for PowerPC's.

Extra Info:
Mu Voice uses two data files, W.dat and Y.dat. When it can't find them is generates them automatically. Therefore, when you launch the plug-in for the first time it will take a while to appear. From there on it will launch smoothly.
Mu Voice works strictly for monophonic audio material.

Cutting-Edge Triggering Technology
Drumagog's advanced triggering engine makes drum replacing a breeze. It accurately tracks the incoming audio and replaces even the most detailed drum nuances with ease. In addition to the basic controls to adjust input, output, and triggering parameters, Drumagog features several controls on its advanced page for custom tuning of the overall triggering process. Drumagog 4.0 introduces a totally new, re-designed triggering engine for un-paralleled triggering accuracy. The following modes are available:

Simple Triggering Mode: This mode is recommended if minimizing CPU usage is a priority. It works well for all but the most difficult tracks.
Advanced Triggering Mode: The advanced triggering mode provides the best triggering performance Drumagog has to offer. It features a smart algorithm which minimizes false triggering and maximizes sensitivity. It's particularly useful on difficult tracks.
Live Triggering Mode: This zero-latency mode is designed for use in a live Drumagog setup. For example, when using Drumagog as an insert on the main console in a live concert performance, or using Drumagog as a "drum brain" for drum trigger pads. However, it doesn't offer the same triggering quality as the other modes, and is only recommended for use in situations that demand zero latency.

The Advanced and Live Triggering Modes are standard in the Pro and Platinum versions only.

Multisample Support
Drumagog supports dynamic, random and positional multisamples for the ultimate in acoustic realism. Each instrument can contain several dynamic multisamples, representing distinct volume levels. Drumagog will automatically choose from one of these samples to match the incoming audio volume perfectly. Random multisamples are also supported, allowing Drumagog to randomly choose between two or more sets of samples of the same volume. Using random multisamples allows a level of realism previously unattainable with other samplers. In addition to dynamic and random samples, Drumagog also features positional multisamples, where different areas of a drum or cymbal are represented by different samples. All three of these sample types can be combined for a single sound resulting in a very complete representation of a drum or instrument. With Drumagog's advanced multisample support, even complex drum rolls sound realistic.
Visual Triggering
Drumagog includes a visual triggering feature that simplifies the adjustment of the triggering controls. A scrolling, real-time waveform display is shown, with the triggering controls (sensitivity, resolution) superimposed on top of the waveform. This provides a visual indication of exactly which incoming hits will trigger Drumagog. For example, the sensitivity control is represented as a horizontal line that can be moved up or down, while the audio waveform scrolls from right to left. As the incoming audio scrolls past, it's easy to see which audio impulses will trigger Drumagog and which won't. All the audio above the line will cause a trigger and the audio below it will be ignored. The incoming audio that scored a "hit" is displayed as a white dot, making it easy to see a history of which hits caused Drumagog to trigger.
BFD Triggering (only available in Drumagog Platinum)
If you own a copy of Fxpansion's BFD or BFD2, Drumagog has the ability to directly trigger BFD, without the need for midi or other complicated setups. This powerful feature enables you to harness the power of BFD directly from the Drumagog interface.

Stealth Mode

Stealth mode is a powerful feature that allows all the original audio to pass through unchanged until the trigger threshold is reached. This is especially useful in tracks that contain both a snare and a hi-hat on a single track. Drumagog will pass the hi-hat through, quickly crossfade into the replaced snare sample when the snare drum is heard, then crossfade back into the hi-hat again. The whole operation is so seamless that often it's hard to tell Drumagog's actually on.
Positional Multisamples
Drumagog introduces a new feature called positional multisamples. Drums can now be multisampled at different stick positions. This allows the user to "dial in" the perfect stick hit position when replacing drums. For instance, if a part of the song calls for a bell sound from the ride cymbal, the user simply adjusts the position control to achieve the perfect stick position.
MIDI Input and Output (on supported hosts)
Drumagog's MIDI feature allows triggering of external drum machines and virtual instruments like EZ Drummer, Battery, Addicitive Drums, Halion, and GigaStudio. The midi input can allow you to use Drumagog as a "drum brain" (for triggering from live drum pads/triggers).

The MIDI features are standard in the Pro and Platinum versions only, and are available on supported hosts.

Also see: Using Drumagog with Ocean Way Drums.

Advanced Sample Management
Drumagog's Samples page features a visual sample management scheme that simplifies importing and organizing of samples. Adding a sample is as simple as dragging and dropping it onto the sample box in the center of the page. Each multisample being used is represented as a colored rectangle within this sample box. During playback, the individual colored rectangles flash, indicating which multisample is being used for replacement. An "add from track" button allows the user to grab existing drums from the current audio track and import them into the sample box. Up to 48 multisamples are supported, and any combination of dynamic or random multisamples is possible (previous versions of Drumagog allowed only specific combinations of multisamples).
Dynamic Tracking
Drumagog automatically tracks the incoming drum hits and adjusts the volume of the samples it plays according to the volume of the original hits. Sometimes however, it's desirable to control the dynamics. Drumagog provides a dynamic tracking control that allows adjustment of how Drumagog tracks the dynamics. This feature can be used to add a solid feel to an overly dynamic performance without the side effects imparted by traditional audio compression.
Virtual Drum Display
The virtual drum display, or drum movie, presents a sophisticated means of representing a triggered response from Drumagog. Going beyond the standard simple blinking LED, a small window displays a movie of an actual drum being played in perfect synchronization with the incoming audio. This feature is particularly useful when triggered samples are being blended with the original source track. The image of a drum being struck is often more intuitive to the user than a flashing light, thereby making it easier to visually catch missed triggers when the sensitivity control is set too high. The virtual drum display does not adversely affect CPU usage since the movie is on a separate very low-priority processing thread. Audio playback always maintains priority.

Pitch Control
Drumagog's pitch control enables adjustment of the sample's pitch by +/-100%. This is a useful feature for tuning the drums to the accompanying tracks.

The pitch control is standard in the Pro and Platinum versions only.

Pre-Triggering Filter
A flexible filter is provided to filter out unwanted audio from a track before triggering. For instance, a snare track might contain undesirable bass drum bleed. In this case, the filter could be set to highpass to only allow the snare audio to pass through. This technique greatly reduces any chances for mis-triggering when bleed is present on the source track.
Left/Right Hand Support
This feature allows Drumagog to automatically alternate between left and right samples (if the loaded gog file supports them), when it detects the original drummer's speed is fast enough to warrant an extra hand. This makes the drum replacement sound very realistic durring rolls.
Auto Sample Rate Conversion
When this feature is enabled, Drumagog will automatically convert the sample rate of the samples being used to match the sample rate of your project.
VU Meters
Drumagog features accurate, responsive VU meters for both input and output levels.
Auto-Ducking
Sometimes it's not enough to just replace the drums on a track, as there are often other tracks that still contain bleed from the original drum. Drumagog's auto-ducking solves this problem. For instance, if a snare drum is being replaced, and the original snare can still be heard through the overhead tracks, Drumagog would be inserted into each of the overhead tracks. Then, the two overhead Drumagogs would be set to receive auto-ducking information from the main Drumagog instance on the snare track. Every time the snare plays, the two Drumagogs on the overhead tracks will automatically "duck" the audio by a set amount (usually 2 or 3 dB). This results in the original sound effectively being removed from all the tracks on which it appears, without affecting any of the other sounds on those tracks. The original sound is then replaced with the sample(s) by Drumagog. The combined audio sounds flawless.

Polyphony
Drumagog provides a choice of polyphony modes: 16-note, 256 note, or choke polyphony. Choke polyphony mode is useful for cymbals, while 16 and 256-note polyphony modes are great for snares and other instruments. Choke polyphony is also useful for replacing recorded drum machine tracks, as it allows for the original drum machine's feel to be maintained. "Machine gun" snare replacements used in dance and hip hop tracks can still stutter like the original.
GOG Sample Format
Drumagog introduces it's own multisample format called GOG. In one GOG file, Drumagog packs up to 48 multisamples, and all associated settings. The GOG file format allows Drumagog users to author, arrange and save their own sample sets in a single file. This makes accessing and transferring samples between projects simple, and allows a user to permanently record in the GOG file all of the triggering information and parameters associated with a sample set.

Blend Control
Drumagog's blend control provides control of the mix between the original audio and the replaced samples.

Plugiator

The Plugiator is an excitingly innovative table top synthesizer which utilizes the latest and fastest DSP technology to provide high-end plug-in technology within a most convenient portable form factor.

So far, hardware synth modules were fixed-architecture, basically providing one fixed sound engine and presets which cover the range of the given architecture. In contrast, the Plugiator can store up to eight DSP plug-ins featuring very different synthesis architectures – thus hugely expanding the sonic possibilities and sound spectrum!

And while sample players only play back recordings of different instruments, the Plugiator emulates and models the actual instruments themselves. Compared to samplers, that makes a big difference in sound: the sound is more lively, more intense and just more “genuine”! Also, most importantly, you can also access and tweak all sound parameters of the model for creating new sounds. Bottom line: The Plugiator plug-ins actually sound and behave like real hardware, not just recordings of it.

The Plugiator can store up to eight different DSP plug-ins and can load any one at a time at a push of a button. Each plug-in comes with 100 presets – allowing you to store up to 800 different sounds within that cute little box which the Plugiator is.

When connected to your computer via USB, the Plug-In Manager software (for Windows and OSX) lets you tweak each plug-in via its GUI and manage your presets which you want stored in the Plugiator box.

...... Another unique innovation is the elegant integration of an online sound database – which allows you to listen to new user-uploaded presets with just one click of your mouse! Yes… No need to download and install sound banks: actually listen to new sounds from the internet instantly; it just does not get more convenient than that.

The Plugiator would not be a Use Audio product if the operating panel wasn’t equally inviting: Eight encoder knobs allow you to tweak major sound parameters while playing, and the ten “quick pads” let you quickly store and recall your favorite plug-in/preset combinations – just as you need it when you perform live.

The Plugiator box provides MIDI In and Thru connections, USB, a microphone input, stereo line outs and a headphone output.

Thanks to its modular design, the Plugiator can load different synthesis plug-ins with different synthesis architectures - enabling a wide field of sound possibilities...

Each Plugiator / Plugiator ASX comes loaded with these four great plug-ins:

 The Minimax

MiniMax is the highly acclaimed replica of the famous legend. Incredibly fat and responsive sound, intuitive control... tweaking its knobs is pure fun, a real performance synth!

The Lightwave
While the oscillators of the LightWave are based on wavetables, the aftermath is virtual analog - giving you wide control of the sound.  From complex pads to powerful leads, LightWave offers a vast range of sonic possibilities.

The B4000
The B4000 turns your keyboard into the Queen of Organs. The genuine sound of a real living electromechanical 400 pound monster. Lively, authentic, emotional...

The Vocodizer

That's what the microphone input of the Plugiator  is for :) Plug in your microphone and modulate sounds with our voice ...

Already the above factory selection of plug-ins means a whole lot of fun. But as you can never have enough fun really, there are more optional plug-ins available.

At the moment, the following further plug-ins are available to further upgrade your Plugiator or Plugiator ASX:

The Prodyssey (Included for a limited time)
The Prodyssey is modeled after the historic counterpart and rival of the Minimax. Featuring a distinctively different character, more control possibilites and an amazingly intuitive interface, the Prodyssey is still as exciting today as it was "in the days"...

The Pro-12 (Included for a limited time)
The first polyphonic and programmable synth to become popular also became an instant legend. The Pro-12 has all of its smooth analog sound and plenty of presets which were heard everywhere throughout the 80ies...

The FMagia (Included for a limited time)
A new synth creation and a journey into great sounding FM synthesis. Thanks to its easy-to-use interface, sound design for FM is more fun than ever before.

The Drums'n'Bass (Included for a limited time)
Just released! An amazingly fat and punchy analog drum machine along with a great bass section - turns your Plugiator into a super groovy beat box!

What others say about the Plugiator:

“Plugiator is brilliant in more ways than I can adequately describe....
If you’re in the market for a new suite of synths and you thought that software instruments were the only economically viable way for you to expand your sound, think again. The synth world just became a much
more interesting place.” -- Future Music 06/2008, Jojo Buchanan

“Plugiator is a gem: There's serious cost-effectiveness, sound quality, ease of use, and low latency... with editing software to complete the package. (...) this unassuming little box delivers major bang for the buck.” -- Harmony Central 10/2008, Craig Anderton

“Seriously, this little gem is the digital answer to almost every one of your analog wet dreams. (....) straight up the “Plugiator” rocks! Value for money, you get way more than you pay for. It’s easy to use, portable, well built, looks good and sounds great. It’s every live keyboardist’s dream come true and studio composer’s new best friend.”
-- Australian Musician 09/2008, Jason McNamara

“The sounds themselves are amazing. They’re not just evocative of the originals, they come close to perfect emulations, the dedicated DSP hardware providing a level of realism that most nativesoftware models can’t touch without bringing even a strong computer to its knees from CPU overload.” -- Recording Magazine 02/2009, Mike Metlay
